UMW Activities

ingatheringlogoBishops In-Gathering

Starting in the early 1980s, the congregation of the Hudson UMC has donated school kits, layettes, teacher kits, blankets, and more for third world countries as well as places here in the United States.

Angel Tree

For over twenty-five years the UMW has been taking care of families within the Hudson community.

Back-to-School Breakfast

What a great way to welcome teachers, staff and administrators back to school than with a hearty breakfast served by the ladies and men of the UMW!  Greeted at the door by a friendly face, usually the pastor’s, starts the school off on a positive note.  This tradition has been on-going for over forty years!!

Lions Club Suppers

The ladies of the UMW are called upon to serve a monthly meal to the civic-minded Lions Club.  Coordinated by various individuals, ladies take turns planning the menus, cooking and serving for this appreciative and hungry men and women.

Hudson Days Lunch

A tradition began many years ago to serve a simple lunch following the Hudson Days parade.  Typically, this is a sell-out event because those in attendance appreciate getting out of the sun and into air-conditioned comfort.
